Welcome to my first blog post ever! I am a little late in the game but I'm thinking, better late than never. Right?! Season is just around the corner and my goal in creating this blog is to keep you posted on new artwork, projects, artist mom life, on events and tournaments, new apparel, workshops and classes...and anything in between. I'm sharing some photo's of my husband and boys because they are a huge part of my business. If you have attended any fine art shows or sportfishing tournaments that I have exhibited in, you have probably seen them in and out of my booth, playing cards behind it or helping me set up and break it down. They have been with me every step of this art journey so far and I would not be successful without them. I am a very lucky girl! If you are new to my work and it's your first time meeting me, WELCOME and THANK YOU for checking out my blog. A little about me...the short version... I am an artist and mostly work with (but not limited to) watercolor and ink. I graduated with art degrees in Computer Art and Design, Studio Art and in Education. I create custom artwork for individuals to large corporations, I have been published in the International Marlin Magazine, I was the 2015 Billfish Foundation Artist of the Year, I partnered with Beall's Florida for a few years which was a lot of fun, I exhibit in fine art shows in Florida and create artwork for saltwater sport fishing tournaments from Florida up to the Carolina's. I have been lucky enough to illustrate a children's book! My favorite colors are blue and aqua, which you can probably guess as soon as you walk into my booth. I love thai food. Actually, I just love food. I love coffee. I also enjoy running and going to our local gym (most of the time). I am a very competitive person (which my husband and friends can attest to) and I enjoy challenges. We have two cats Cricket and Trippy who keep me company in my studio all day. Most of all, I love my husband and boys very much. And I could NEVER live without art in my life. I know it sounds a little cheesy but it is very true when I say that art is part of my soul and is like breathing to me. I need it to live. At least happily anyway.

Watercolor & Ink Artist
'thinking outside the box' I have always felt extremely passionate about color and detail. I gain inspiration every day from sights and sounds, including our Florida beaches, canals and nearby fishing villages. My goal is to draw you as the viewer, into my art. I want to help the viewer focus in on a particular section of my artwork while seeing the whole picture. I achieve this by creating a focus that casts a “window” of color on a section of the painting with watercolor paints. I then extend my work out onto the mat with black watercolor paint and ink. I like to think of this as “thinking outside the box”. |
