While looking at some lures when my family and I were fishing on our friends boat here in South Florida, I realized that they are actually quite pretty! I ended up borrowing some lures from our friend and my husband and placed them out on our kitchen table. I was inspired to illustrate and paint them, although I have to admit, they were pretty stinky!
